Jubilee of Our Lady of Health (August Feast)
The feast
of Our Lady of Health, inventoried by the Intangible Heritage of the City, is
the main celebration of the city almost 200 years ago , and receives pilgrims
from various parts of the country .
Its peak
occurs on the 15th of August. Between 06 to 14 takes place in the church novena
Mother with gifts auctions organized by the community and district ,
presentation of Santa Cecilia Lira - Band Secular Municipality .
In 1819 ,
it built the 1st array in praise of Our Lady of Health in 1824 , the town of
Lagoa Santa was created , then separating the parish of St. Anthony of Roças
Great , whose subsidiaries chapels Santana Fidalgo and Our Lady of Conception
Raposos . The town still retains its ancient traditions as the Feast of the
Patroness Our Lady of Health.
The
Jubilee of Our Lady of Health meets beyond the faith of Catholics, attractions
like amusement park and shows. And draws attention to the numerous stalls
selling tasty treats and delicious foods.
